Patient Rights and Medical Ethics Discussion
I'm not going to crucify him or sell him. I'm not going to
see you because you're not doing this or which is what we have been seeing.
I mean, you have no idea the number of patients that I have been seeing in my
office that come to see me because they were fired by
some other doctor because they were on some repurposed drug.
I mean, they were fired.
There is no that communication
that you're talking about needs needs to be a two way communication. And yes, I'm
willing to work with you. But I also understand that you are an individual.
You have a freedom of choice and you can decide.
I mean, if you know that, you know,
the cigarette is going to kill you and that's what you want to do,
that's your that's that's your right. I mean, I have to accept it.
And going back to the basics, what does doctor mean? In Latin, it means teacher.
And all we can do is teach.
Doctor doesn't mean forcer. M D. doesn't mean minor deity.
M D. should mean make a difference.
And so to fire a patient just because the patient has a different philosophy,
I think that negates
the whole construct of a profession. It's unreal. It's unethical.
It's you know, the number of people that I have been that have seen fire from
large cancer
institutions just because they elected to to to take repurposed drugs in addition
to the usual chemotherapeutic agents is unbelievable to me.
That is absolute nonsense.
And not only that, that is it should be legal.
I mean, it should be it should be something that
the medical board should come after those guys and say, you abandon the patient
because that's patient abandonment.
