Trans Rights and Pride Activism
I'm 62 I don't give a fuck about anyone else I'm trans I came
out 14 years ago I've got three children My partner is
trans We got married two years ago We got married here in
Soho We love pride and pride has never been more important than it is now for
us as trans people We feel really
persecuted Our theme this year is we are cosmic angels We've
come from the future to warn this world about the problem
Problem Fuck Trump Fuck mass Pride is becoming a protest
again In the UK we've got the union standing
by us but we've got a government that's been ambivalent and we've
got a government that's rolled back our rights They're all
against their manifesto policies because they're all too
fucking scared about stuff Can I ask when you came out
what was it like now compared to then It's a lot worse now Why is it a lot worse
It's a lot worse now because if we went to a toilet in any of these places we could
be challenged And have you got a message for trans people Be visible We're proud
We're out And we want to be seen We wanted the LGBT people
we spoke to today are really
standing with us and that's the true ethos of something like pride The people
here absolutely
get it we know our history and we need to remind everyone of our history I'm
62 I don't give a fuck about anyone else I will go for a pee
in whatever toilet I want and that's that's the biggest protest that we could we
could wish for really
