Trading Strategies for New York Session
8:30 and 9:30 are the most important time levels when coming into the
New York session with a bias. For example, if I come into the New York session
with a bullish bias, I'm going to see if London has set that low of
day. If it has, I'm expecting a continuation in New York.
What that's going to look like is I want to see if 8:30 makes an opposing
run, and if it does, 9:30 can expand.
If 8:30 fails to make an opposing run, then I want to see 9:30 make that
opposing run, and then 10 AM can expand.
If London has not yet set the low of day, then I'm going to look for 8:30 or
9:30 to do so. For example, if we are consolidating, 8:30
makes the low of day, then 9:30 can expand.
If 8:30 fails to make a low of day, then I'm going to look for 9:30 to make
that manipulation and expansion or to just manipulate for 10 AM
to expand higher.
