Protest Experiences and First Amendment Rights

Yeah, what's the wildest thing you've seen out

here today during the protest?

Um, this is my first time coming to protest,

actually.

I haven't seen anything crazy except for this, what's going on right now.

Is what's happening today constitutional?

I don't even know. I don't even know what the First Amendment

is anymore.

How would you describe the methods that they're deploying to contain the

protesters?

As long as they're not physically harming anyone, bangers, tear gas is

regular. And like I, like I said, I haven't seen anyone committing any

crimes.

That's why I'm also confused.

So is that violating the First Amendment, what they're doing?

Yeah. Yeah, it is.

Up until today, I've, I've always been kinda like, "Okay,

I'm sure the protesters

get a little rowdy. They get some bullets back,

whatever." I got tear-gassed, and

I'm sitting right next to 10 homeless people, and they,

they don't have anything.

They get, they gotta leave all their shit behind.

Like...

These are supposed to ricochet off the ground.

They're supposed to shoot it onto the ground, but they aim it directly at you

'cause they're fucking assholes.
