Love Affair Uncovered at a Party

It was his wife, flirting with his best friend.

Mark froze on the spot.

He quickly turned to make sure he wasn't imagining it, but his friend was already gazing

lovingly at his wife.

In that instant, he realized the truth.

What he didn't know, was that before the party even started, David and Marion had already

snuck into the kitchen for a private moment.

They had been carrying on an affair for a long time, and believed their secret, would

never be discovered by Mark.

But they overlooked one thing, the eyes never lie when you're in love.

The moment Mark saw Marion looking at David, her eyes were filled with love.

It was a look, he hadn't seen from her in a very long time.

The two of them turned the entire party, into a thrill for their secret affair.

They shamelessly spoke to each other with nothing but their eyes.

The moment Mark realized it, he completely fell apart.

He walked into the bathroom alone, trying to calm himself down, because he couldn't

bear to think any further.

After all, he was the one who had invited David, to stay at his house for a long time.

Mark couldn't help but wonder, maybe it was his invitation, that brought the two of them

together.

Even so, he still clung to one last bit of hope, believing he was simply overthinking

it.

To find out the truth, Mark went back to the bedroom and searched Marion's bag, hoping

to find some evidence.

It didn't take long, before he found a key, a key with David's lapel pin attached to it.

Which could only mean one thing, the key belonged to David's apartment.

The next day, after Marion left the house, Mark quietly followed behind her, wanting

to see where she was really going, but what he saw, destroyed his last bit of hope.

The place Marion went, was David's apartment.

After Marion had been upstairs for a while, Mark took the key, he had secretly taken from

his wife's bag the day before, and walked to David's front door, slowly sliding the

key into the lock.

The moment the key turned, Mark knew, he was about to face the cruel truth.

He thought he was ready.

But when two familiar voices came from the bedroom, and the reflection in the mirror

on the door, revealed the two faces he knew better than anyone, every bit of his emotional

strength, collapsed in an instant.
