Referee Decisions in Football Matches
He's cautioned both managers. He's had a hell of a game.
It's been such a tough game end to end.
And I said to Andy afterwards, I just didn't want to turn to the screen
after
what's gone on in the game. And
I didn't want to send him off because he's a mate as well as a referee.
And basically what he's come out and said is, I've been in that situation
where I've seen an incident and been told to say I haven't seen it.
You can read all about it, my boy.
To be fair to the FA, it's not them. It's come from within the
P-G-O-M-A-O-L. Christ.
Like mate, wow.
I think he should have sent someone off.
And he said
something like, should have sent you off there,
but I want you to win it.
Mate, I was like, that was mad. It was mad,
you know, I swear to God.
Liverpool shit.
What do you think of Jürgen Klopp?
Cunt. Absolute cunt. Just to be clear,
that fucking last video can't go anywhere.
You know, a referee like David who's refereed on
there for nine years
wouldn't have survived for nine years at that level if he wasn't refereeing at the
top level and if he wasn't making high-profile good
decisions.
That wasn't a human error. That was
a
big, big, big
not conceiving and understanding your job.
And
that's not acceptable. I'm sorry.
But is there something in the subconscious around decision-making or
of
without even knowing it, are you more likely to give it to
Manchester City
than Wolves? Manchester City scoring a last-minute
winner is a big thing.
It's like a bigger thing than Wolves scoring a last-minute goal against West
Ham.
And should a referee have to reveal which team they
barrack for? Well, that was the plan for the
24-25 Premier League season until the entity that appoints the refs
backtracked on the idea. Originally, it said allegiances would be
declared to limit the risk of complaints about conflicts of interest.
But it turns out what they meant was the policy would be made
public, not the teams that the officials support.
It used to be correct or incorrect. Now it's correct or corrupt.
