Jouaiya Mayor and Municipal Member Killed: Calls for Protection

Fawzi Fawaz, mayor of Jwaya, and Abbas Al- Baalbaki, a member of the municipality,

the entity killed them today. In a war crime. I do not know if

someone is supposed to take action to protect the mayors,

the municipality that is under the Ministry of Interior, of official Lebanon.

Just like we saw there was a move by the foreign minister of a Lebanese party,

not of Lebanon,

he came when he demanded protection for a group he wants to classify and sort by

sect, by region, and by party,

even though we all say this is all of Lebanon,

we are all from all of Lebanon and we are all Lebanese. They insist on

the process of sorting

and on the process of how much they win and lose partisan- wise,

and they even want to profit from the war.

The mayor of Jwaya

was killed deliberately,

because it is forbidden for there to be municipalities,

for there to be the existence of a municipality, an army, security forces,

even UNIFIL, even any human being. That is why we are telling you the plan

is occupation,

there is nothing else but occupation. Abdallah Baalbaki,
