Concerns Over Pesticides in Strawberries
It is now confirmed America's number one strawberry is tied to cancer,
and most people are buying them every single week
without knowing what is on them.
Driscoll's controls a third of every strawberry sold in America,
and before those berries reach the shelf,
they are sprayed with up to 371 chemical pesticides.
They are putting the same chemicals used in
mosquito spray on your strawberries and labeling them organic.
Every berry starts as a lab-bred clone, coated in Captan,
the same compound found in paint preservatives,
then submerged in fungicide baths that push three
separate carcinogens directly into the flesh of the fruit.
After that, they are bleached in chlorine and sealed in
plastic so tightly that no amount of rinsing removes
what is already absorbed into the berry itself.
Nearly a third of all strawberries tested came back positive
for fenthrin, a chemical with a direct link to cancer.
They want you trusting the green packaging and the organic label,
while carcinogens are absorbed into the fruit.
Look for certified organic from small, verified farms,
and never trust a brand controlling a third of the entire national supply
to tell you what is actually on your food.
