Lionel Messi's Legacy as the GOAT

Peter, when Lionel Messi won the 2022 World Cup, you said Lionel Messi has shaken hands with

paradise. What makes him the GOAT over Cristiano Ronaldo, Pelé and Diego Maradona? We call

Lionel Messi the GOAT not because he has a World Cup but because football in his presence found

its purest voice. Now show me a player dead or alive who has a World Cup with eight Ballon d'Or

standing beside it. Show me one who has lifted the World Cup and claimed two World Cup MVPs.

Show me a soul who has conquered four Champions Leagues, crowned it with a World Cup and won

six Golden Boots across Europe. Show me a player with 48 trophies yet still defined by a World Cup.

Show me one with over 900 goals, over 400 assists and a World Cup to seal the argument.

Show me the artist who holds a World Cup, two Copa Américas and twice stood as Laureus World

Sportsman of the Year. You search through history, past legends, present icons and you find echoes

not equals. Because Messi does not merely collect greatness, he constructs it. A left foot like a

written in motion.
