Does Size Mean Strength? Ostrich and Falcon as Metaphors for Political Power

Oh, welcome. The biggest trick you can fall for is believing that bulk is the same

as strength. If we take a look at nature, the picture becomes clearer. I mean…

take the ostrich, for example, A huge bird, from afar it looks majestic,

but the moment a storm blows,

it instantly buries its head Her head is in the sand. On the other bank,

look at the peregrine falcon, a bird that is small in size,

but when it spreads its wings,

it claims dominance over the whole sky.

The peregrine falcon did not gain its awe from its size,

He got it from the speed of his pounce and decisiveness,

and the precision of his strike.

This scene sums up our political reality today.

Some people are still living in a delusion,

and think that leadership is measured by bluster and space and long years,

forgetting that in the real world of states, it is action that imposes its word,

and capability is what determines who is most worthy of leading the scene.

Because sovereignty and status have never been measured by who owns more square

kilometers.
