Personal Journey to Embrace Islam
I had a dream walking in the desert at night. In the distance, I saw fire.
As I approached it, I saw a group of men all wearing white
thobes.
One of the men, he embraced me. I'm on my way to work.
As I'm driving, I see a man next to the road wearing a
thobe speaking on the
phone. I instantly get pulled back to the dream,
so I kind of pull off on the side
of the road and I call the guy over. I'm like, "I'm so sorry to bother you,
but why
are you wearing this?" He's like, "We dress this to imitate the Prophet
Muhammad
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam." And I walked into the mosque
and I found a group of
kids all sitting, reading something.
And then the man sitting with them got up, came up to me.
I told him, "I'm so sorry to bother you, but I have no idea why I'm here." My
heart just kind of felt if you walk out of that door
and you do not
embrace whatever these people are on, you are basically lying to
yourself. And Alhamdulillah, I said the Shahada
and I ended up coming to
Yemen. My father, he visited me here in Tarim.
He became Muslim.
