Jesus' Temptation in the Wilderness: Satan's Three Tests
1 min Faith
Why did Satan wait until Jesus was starving to attack?
For forty days and forty nights, Jesus fasted alone in the wilderness. His body was exhausted, and Satan believed this was his moment.
If you are the Son of God, turn these stones into bread.
Jesus answered with scripture, but Satan wasn't finished. He took Jesus to the highest point of the temple and said...
Throw yourself down. Let the angels catch you.
Jesus refused again. Then Satan revealed every kingdom of the world and made one final offer.
All of this can be yours if you bow down and worship me.
A crown without the cross, a kingdom without the sacrifice.
Then Jesus answered... Away from me, Satan. Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.
Satan fled. Angels came to minister to Jesus, and before Jesus began his public ministry, he had already defeated the enemy with the word of God.
If you believe in the power of our God, drop an amen.
