Historic US-Greenland Deal Announcement
So the State Department just announced, uh, a historic deal with Greenland.
Can you tell us about it?
Well, it's a massive deal. The first is that it's permanent.
And first think about what President Trump was raising a year ago-
Yeah
... and all of the flak he got-
Yeah
... despite the fact that president after president,
for literally 100 years
plus, raised this as a major issue.
Yep.
President Trump actually got something done. So this is a permanent deal.
It lets us do what we deem is necessary to protect the American
continent.
It bars non-NATO military bases from being in Greenland.
It also makes sure that we don't see our adversaries making
investments in
sensitive sectors without the express written approval of the United
States. This is massive. It benefits the United States.
It's so important to our security.
It's also gonna make our NATO allies more secure too, and that was the whole point
President Trump was raising.
Yeah, yeah.
When we're able to do this, it makes everyone better off
and more secure, and I
think it's telling how little coverage this is getting-
Yeah
... based off of all the coverage that was last year, right?
Right.
The massive success, this was only made possible 'cause of President
Trump and
Secretary Rubio.
