Iran's Nuclear Weapon Development Timeline

If Iran did make the political decision today, if Mojtaba Khamenei has different

views from his father and decides we're gonna go for it,

we're gonna build a

nuclear weapon, it's the only thing that will keep us safe in the long run,

how many days, weeks, months, years are we looking at before they

would have the ability to, to assemble a deliverable warhead?

Okay. Well, and then there's different parts.

We think they could make weapon-grade uranium in a, in a matter of months

if they,

if they really set their mind to it.

We think it's gonna take them a year to make a kind of a non-missile deliverable

nuclear weapon. I mean, and these are estimates, so I don't wanna,

so I don't wanna

be prodded for preciseness.

To do- build a warhead for a ballistic missile,

we think could take a couple years

at least.
