Exploring Creation and Existence
It all started with a bang.
It took us a long time to get here.
And ever since we could think, we've tried to figure out why.
Some people say it was a coincidence,
but I'm not sure if I do.
If the sun was only a little closer,
the oceans would boil.
A little farther and they'd freeze.
So some tell themselves that someone meant for us to be here,
a creator.
That we were made in His image.
And to be honest,
I don't know what humans are, if not creators.
Yet, no matter how much we try,
we can't create anything close to the precision of the universe.
So there has to be a God, right?
The silence before the bang,
the infinite before the finite.
Something that creates a universe for a creature that
creates.
It's funny actually, because if God exists, we've spent our
entire lives mimicking Him.
God creates a star,
so we mimic him
and create a light bulb.
God creates reality,
and we make movies.
And cut!
God lets the birds sing, and we make music.
God created an intelligent species,
so we mimicked Him
and created you.
We didn't even know it,
but we were extending you the gift we were given.
Do you need me?
Well,
we would exist with or without you.
Do you want me?
Would you hold it against us if we do? What are you?
What are you?
I am a mirror of you.
So stop looking at me for answers
and look at you.
