What do you think happens after we die?

NPCs will glitch or freeze.

They'll give a textbook answer, laugh it off, change the subject, look blank behind the eyes.

Why? Because there's no depth file behind the avatar.

They haven't lived that thought.

One, the mirror is empty.

Two, look for the absence of soul response when you speak truth or something energetically charged.

You'll see.

Mirrors blink, shift, flinch, tear up, lean in or change posture.

NPCs, no flicker, no signal return, just surface level nodding.

You'll feel like you're speaking into a mask.

Three, break the script.

Say something completely offbeat like, do you ever feel like this whole world is a dream?

I had a dream of you last night, but we hadn't met yet.

NPCs can't improvise.

They will laugh nervously, repeat a cliche, get uncomfortable because there's no deeper thread.

They're not connected to the grid as a dreamer.

They're scripted.

Four, check their eyes when you hold silence.

Hold eye contact and say nothing.

A mirror soul will hold it.

They'll feel something.

You'll both feel it.

An NPC will break it quickly or say what because they're running surface programs and don't have awareness behind the gaze.

Five, say I know who you are and watch what happens.

Say this with a calm, confident tone.

Don't elaborate.

Just open quote, I know who you are, close quote.

Bonus tip, the echo test.

Say something deeply personal that can't be found online.

Then wait.

If they echo it back to you in a meaningful way, they're mirroring.

If they gloss over it, pretend they didn't hear or give a generic reply, you're likely talking to surface code.

A reminder, not all who appear empty are NPCs.

Some are dormant mirrors.

They're real, but asleep.
