Calls for Peace and Accountability After Civilian Deaths in Khyber

The phenomenon of insurgent roaming in Afghanistan is very visible.

It exists all across Afghanistan and in other countries as well.

There is a great, great deal of this roaming/insurgent activity.

From two thousand one backwards — from the nineteenth-century/earlier periods up to two thousand one.

Also in those tribal areas that lie on the Pakistani side.

They move from Afghanistan with little restriction across the border.

Because of that many angry/frustrated people come and bring heavy burdens.

And because there is little or no security there.

Thus the phenomenon of insurgent roaming appears.

It affects our own people — both rural citizens and the general public — and it is worrying.

And know that in anything, if there is collateral damage, people will label it as such.

And if people, wherever I look in the world, use a zebra crossing when crossing.

The Prime Minister must govern/take responsibility.

Places where people are being killed.

Piece by piece, people are being rounded up in one place.

And if so, then this is not a game.

If the video shows foreigners and explosive materials.

And in all that footage around the world the video shows the security forces.

Wherever preparations for war are made, that area has been bombed.

Whoever surrenders and admits the truth.

That humans can make mistakes.

And that mistakes must be punished.

That ordinary people will also be punished.

That whoever is a criminal will be punished.

Today the criminal will be punished.

But the point is that this is not in accordance with the law.

If you say that we have an exception.

I have had twenty-five killed; the rest are about fifteen children.

Salor and Wana did not surrender.

Whether in Patira, in Bada, in Jamrud, or in Landi Kotal they surrender.

God willing, tomorrow the entire population will come out.

He will do only one thing.

That we want security for our people in these areas.

And whoever is seized.

Will be martyred.

These people must fully meet our demands.
