As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

People ask me all the time why I reverted to Islam.

So I'm gonna give you five reasons.

Number one. One God. Simple.

If there's only one Creator,

why am I going through ten different people to talk to Him?

Why would I need a middleman?

Why would I pray to the creation instead of the Creator?

I'll go straight to the source.

Number two. It stands up to study.

Islam doesn't tell you to shut your brain off.

It tells you to learn. Read the Qur'an.

Read history. Read about the prophets.

Read about civilizations.

The deeper I looked, the more things made sense, not less.

The more I studied, the stronger my conviction became.

Number three. The worship is real.

And this one hit me hard.

Before prayer, I wash my hands, my mouth, my nose,

my face, my arms, my feet.

I prepare myself before I stand before Allah.

Then comes prostration.

Think about it.

Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Solomon, peace be upon them all.

These were some of the greatest men that ever walked this earth.

And they put their faces on the ground before God.

So who am I to stand there, acting too proud to do the same?

Your forehead belongs on the ground before your Creator.

That's humility.

Number four. Real equality.

The world is obsessed with race.

Black, white, brown, whatever.

Islam teaches you, your value is in your skin color.

It's your character and your relationship with Allah.

You can take a Muslim from China and a Muslim from Russia.

Different languages, different cultures, different backgrounds.

They stand shoulder to shoulder and worship the same God.

No superiority, no division, just unity.

And number five. Jesus.

And this is the one that makes people most uncomfortable.

As Muslims, we love Jesus.

We respect Jesus.

We believe in Jesus. Peace be upon him.

But we do not worship him.

Because Jesus himself prayed to God.

Jesus called on God.

Jesus said there were things only the Father knew.

When people asked about the hour,

he said that knowledge only belonged to God.

So my question is simple.

If Jesus was praying to God, why would I pray to Jesus?

For me, the answer was clear.

That's why I reverted.

Not because somebody forced me.

Not because somebody convinced me.

Because I studied, I questioned, and I searched.

And the truth made sense.

Alhamdulillah for everything.

Nothing but the real deal.
