Challenges of Tech Development in Europe
Just because Europe's so completely useless at developing, uh,
successful tech companies, that doesn't mean they should punish the
ones that are
successful and are offering products and services that Europeans want.
That's why they're successful, because Europe-
it's not 'cause of some nefarious
scheme to hurt the European consumer.
European consumers are choosing our California companies.
And so to penalize them because they're offering a service that people want is
obviously ridiculous, and I think that the regulators and the governments in
Europe would do much better trying to actually figure out why no successful
companies are being created in Europe of the kind of scale that you see here.
Is it something Andy Burnham should drop if he wants to e- encourage a good
relationship with the president?
And of course-
Yeah, of course. I mean, it's ridiculous.
Like, why are you, why are you being so vindictive?
Um, why don't you focus on trying to actually
create the conditions in which
successful tech and other businesses that, that have a global
impact can be built and grown in Europe?
