Improving Gameplay with Sprint Techniques
The absolute best advice I can give you when it comes to build-up
is to release the goddamn
sprint button.
There are some areas on the pitch that you're generally not supposed
to sprint in,
and I'm just gonna try to paint it exactly where.
Like, in this zone
right here
from end to end,
you're not supposed to sprint within this area.
It's just not logical to sprint. And if you just check all the pro
players, pay attention to how little they sprint.
They only sprint, for the most part, down the wings.
Down the wings, you can sprint, and that is if and only if you have no one in
front of you. If you just release the sprint button in
your
build-up, in your gameplay,
just look how your gameplay will change.
The more you keep close control and just move forward with the left stick
and technical sprint. So you-- when you wanna move forward from the
opponent, when you're, let's say, an opponent is pressing you, you do some
left stick dribbling, you turn away from him, then if you
wanna boost into space, you use the technical sprint.
You don't use sprint. You use sprint only
when you have no one in front of
you. And even if you think about it,
if you're inside the box here,
is it truly possible, guys, to use sprint here?
To use sprint inside the box?
Inside the, your opponent's box. It's not logical.
It's not logical to sprint.
You give yourself the best possible chance of scoring
if you're just left stick dribbling and moving purely, no input, no other
inputs.
Even when it comes to defending, inside your box, you're not supposed to
sprint, though. And when it comes to defending,
always mimic
your opponent's movement. If your opponent is sprinting, you sprint.
If your opponent is left stick moving, you just jockey.
It's that simple, but just follow this step
