Filmmaker Discusses Shooting in Madrid

Madrid seemed like a very, very

logical place for the story to unfold.

There were other places that were possible, but, uh,

the business people were dealing with Madrid, and Madrid

was interested, and I was very interested in Madrid

s- uh, because it fits right in with the, the

idea of the story. And I'd never made a movie in Madrid.

I'd made... I w- worked in San Sebastian, I worked in

Barcelona, and many other

European cities, but, uh, I'd never worked in Madrid,

and I thought it would be wonderful to have the experience

and a fresh, uh, atmosphere for my

film to work in Madrid. I have been here, I've played music here,

and I've promoted films here, but I've never had the

pleasure of actually being here for a long time to

make a film here.
