Debunking Myths About Muslim Countries
Can you guys name me one country, Muslim
country,
where it is safe,
where there's peace out there? There is none.
I am so glad you asked because it gives me the opportunity to prove two things.
Number one, that you're wrong when you say that there isn't a Muslim
majority
country that is safe and peaceful, and number two, that this idea
that the United
States are the best at everything, this idea of American
exceptionalism, is primarily fed by ignorance.
So you may wanna grab a pencil and a piece of paper,
and let's get into it.
So you talk about peace, and there just happens to be the perfect
index for it. It's called the Global Peace Index,
and it's updated annually and
uses twenty-three indicators to calculate how peaceful a
country is. And what you'll learn if you look at that index is
that Malaysia, which
is a majority Muslim country, ranks twelfth most peaceful country in the
world. Qatar, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Oman, Morocco,
Jordan, Indonesia, and the UAE, all Muslim majority
countries, rank anywhere between number thirty-one
and number seventy-three.
Oh, and then there's the United States.
It's all the way down here at number one hundred and
thirty-four. But that's not all because our friend here
also talked about the
countries that are the most safe. So let's look at the same countries.
Qatar, Kuwait, Indonesia, and Oman all have a homicide rate that is
less than one person per a hundred thousand people.
Malaysia, Uzbekistan, the UAE, and Jordan, also Muslim majority
countries, of course, have a rate of one homicide per a hundred
thousand
people. The United States has a homicide of
six per a hundred thousand people. Oh, and we don't even need to go abroad.
We can stay here in the United States because Dearborn, Michigan and Hamtramck,
two
cities with a concentration of Muslims between forty and fifty percent, have a
homicide rate that is less than one per hundred thousand
residents.
Again, the United States is six times higher.
It's all information that's available to anyone, but you didn't look for it
because you prefer to live in the illusion that the United States is exceptional
in every possible way when knowing these numbers would give you
an
opportunity to understand where our beautiful country can get even
better and fulfill the real American dream.
And in the meantime, I guess we're gonna have to continue
dealing with the poorly
educated making videos like the one you just saw, which as a
reminder, is not the flex you think it is.
