The Book of Enoch: Fallen Angels, Mary and Spiritual Warfare

The Book of Enoch. Right. Verse one, "And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied, that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters.

And the angels, the children of heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another, 'Come, let us choose wives from the children of men and beget us children.'" Notice that their motivation appears to be sexual.

In the Book of Enoch, one can say this. There's the providence issue.

It's found alongs- in the Dead Sea Scrolls, so alongside the Book of Isaiah.

It's referenced in scripture. Why would it be disclosed, discounted, excluded? Here's my hypothesis. Its emphasis is on the spiritual fall, not on the human fall. Of course, we bear responsibility for our own actions to wed ourselves to Christ Jesus, God in flesh, God become flesh.

We do that to engage in a holy war in spiritual realms.

Ephesians 6:12, "Therefore, put on the full armament of God" to engage in this battle. Note too, that the Catholics, with whom I'm becoming more enchanted by the day, revere Mother Mary.

In particular, what happens with Mary? She conceives a baby, the Son of God, without sexual activity, meaning that God comes to Earth in a way that He's redeeming of the very sin- Yes ... that brings about the death of our kind,

brings decay and time and death in. Notice too, that our times are defined by this idea of sexual defilement- Mm ... peculiar ceremony. So that's what the Book of Enoch has done for me.

Mm. It's brought to the forefront of my mind at least, Laura, the idea that we're participants in a spiritual holy war, that it's the duty of those of us that follow Christ to become like Him. Hope you're ready for holy war.

Oh my God. You gotta get your little trainers on.

I better get my trainers on and some good socks. Yeah.

That's sneakers. Sneakers.
