Exploring AI's Origins and Controversies
Today, where Google
and these other, um, engine companies, the
other tech companies, are trying to build artificial
intelligence.
The strangest thing that they've found, one of the strangest things, is
that the systems that they design, this artificial intelligence
which a lot of
people have heard about, is they design a bunch of
systems, they're called neural nets.
It's a term simply taken out of brain work, neur- neurons in the
brain. Nets because they actually look like a
net.
They put in some inputs.
The computers work,
spit out an answer.
Sound normal to you? It's 'cause you're thinking about
that calculator you had in
1976 on your desk.
When you ask the person who designed the system, "How did it
come to that answer?
How did your neural net... Can you show me the calculations?"
They say, "No. We don't know.
We don't know how the thing we designed
actually came up with that answer." That's pretty strange.
Jeffrey Epstein explains the inner workings of AI,
and people are wondering, how did he know so much about it?
You see, people think he was just some double agent whose only
job was to blackmail billionaires.
That's why people are shocked to find out
that none of these AI
models would exist without Epstein.
You see, decades before any of these AI companies
became popular, Epstein was silently funding
some of the fathers of AI, and it started with
Marvin Minsky, who received hundreds of thousands of
dollars
for his AI research in 2002 directly
from Epstein during a ceremony held on St.
Thomas Island. And at the same time, Epstein also
funded Joi Ito's MIT Media Lab, and
Joi Ito later became one of the early investors
in OpenAI. Then there's former Treasury
Secretary Larry Summers, who was a very close
friend of Epstein. Well, he was also on the board of
OpenAI until 2023.
Yeah, just extensive correspondence between the
former Treasury Secretary under
former President Bill Clinton, he's also the former Harvard president,
and Epstein,
including the most recent message on, I think it was the day before, uh,
Epstein was arrested in, in 2019. And so, um,
e- at this point now you are seeing some of the fallout envelop
Larry Summers.
He has now stepped down from the board of OpenAI, for example.
And of course, we cannot forget about Peter
Thiel. We've all heard his insane theories about
immortality.
You, I think you-
Um, yeah
... you would prefer the human race to endure,
right?
Uh.
You're hesitating.
Yeah, well, I...
Yes?
I don't know. I, I would,
I would, um...
This is a long hesitation.
There's so many, there's so many...
This is a long hesitation
... there's so, there's, there's so many questions
and ports in this.
Should the human race survive?
Uh, yes.
Okay.
But, but, uh, I, I also would,
um, I, I, I also would like us to, to radically
solve these problems.
Right.
And, uh, and so, you know, it's always, I don't know, um,
you know...
Yeah, transhumanism
is this, you know, the ideal was this radical
transformation where your human natural body
gets transformed into an immortal body.
That is striking on the sort of transhumanist versus Christian thing
is how similar they are. And so I, I think you can, you can sort of
point to metaphysical differences, but, uh, but, uh, the thing
that sort of is always striking is you're, you're gonna have a transformed body.
Uh, you know, there's gonna be this radical
transformation of the way everything
works. There will be no more random freak
accidents that happen to kill
you. Um, and, uh, and so I think it's actually the
similarities that are, that are
striking, and then, uh, one shouldn't try to overlay some, uh,
some metaphysical
difference.
Do you know where he learned about transhumanism?
From his business associate, Jeffrey Epstein, who was
interested in these ideas back in the early 2000s.
Apparently, he wanted to build AI so he could create
superhumans using his own DNA. No
wonder some of these billionaires are so eager to build
AGI.
