Human Evolution and Hunting Adaptations
Humans are hunters, and there is undeniable proof for this claim.
We have eyes in the front of our skull, which creates a huge overlap in the visual field of
both eyes, creating binocular vision and improving depth perception. This is useful
for judging the distance when chasing or capturing prey, or throwing projectiles when hunting.
On the other hand, prey animals like goats and deer have eyes on the side of their heads,
so that they can have a much wider field of view, allowing them to detect threats
from virtually any direction. Many grazing animals even have horizontal slit pupils,
which further expands their panoramic vision, so that they can graze while scanning their
environment. We have very large brains that allow us to communicate effectively, determining
behavior patterns of prey, and to organize and plan ahead of time. On top of that, our ability
to communicate with an advanced
spoken language amplifies our cooperative power.
We have opposable thumbs that allow for precise motor functions like wielding weapons and
crafting tools.
And we have a narrow waist which allows our torso to rotate independently from the hips,
generating a massive amount of throwing power.
We are apex predators for these exact reasons, and it is in our DNA to eat flesh.
Sorry to break it to you, but if you are vegan, you are straying from your species-specific
diet and you will inevitably suffer from doing so.
