When you're five years old, one year is twenty percent of your life.
When you're fifty years old, one year is two percent of your life.
So you would assume that your perception of time would change
as you get older.
But the part that no one tells you is that your brain measures time in
experiences, not in minutes. If you spend five years working the
same job, doing the same routine every day,
those five years are gonna blend
together in one moment. Whereas someone else in those five years
could travel the world, they could have multiple relationships,
work multiple
different jobs. Those five years are gonna be broken up into many different
moments. The old saying is true, it's not about the years in your life,
but the
life in your years. Your priority should be to maximize your
experiences. It's so easy to forget this in a modern
day where the highest good is
all about productivity and making more money.
But I promise you, when you're on your deathbed,
the things that are gonna matter
have nothing to do with money
