Vatican Clarification on Pope John Paul II
Time running out. I've got about just a couple of minutes
left.
Now let's quickly talk about this rather bizarre
clarification that the Vatican made going back
to the year 2000 when Pope John Paul
II had apparently said, "God
bless Islam," um, in a prayer for, I think,
Jordan. That was what was carried on the official,
uh, Vatican website. The clarification was made secretly.
No statement was made, so we don't quite know when it was made,
but the...
A- apparently it was a dodgy, um,
audio, uh, coupled with John Paul II's
Polish-accented English. He was actually saying,
"God bless this land,"
rather than God... as in Jordan, rather than, uh, "God bless
Islam."
Right.
The reason we're mentioning this now, Frank Walker, is that Trad Inc., our
old friend at Trad Inc., are cock-a-hoop about this
clarification 'cause they're saying, "Oh, look, just how orthodox JP
II really was. He never said, 'God bless Islam.' He said, 'God
bless this land.'" F- F- Frank Walker, as you are talking
about Trad Inc.'s response to this, we're just gonna gently
put up a photo from the year before, the year
1999, uh, May the 14th, the day
after Our Lady of Fatima. Um, May the 14th,
1999, when John Paul II was
kissing
a Quran. I think he's having a good snog with that,
that, that
Quran. So that photo's going to go up, um, of, of
JP II kissing the Quran as you tell us
Trad Inc.'s reaction to just how orthodox JP II really was
with regards to Islam. Take it away, Frank Walker.
Oh, th- yes. They, um, Trad Inc. likes to make sure that
everybody knows that JP II is good, that every pope must be obeyed and
followed and considered to be, you know, in many cases today,
especially in Leo's case, g- godlike.
You know, Leo has a, has a sidekick, a little Edgar, that,
that he's known since
he was 15 years old. He was in, uh, Peru yesterday and he said, "I'm like
John the Baptist, and Leo's like Jesus."
So they, they make too much out of these popes.
But, uh, I, I, you know, I think it's clear from the vi- audio,
like you,
like you just mentioned, that he was saying, "Bless this land,"
but he did kiss the
Quran. I don't think that was a mistake or a misrepresentation.
And, um, you know, they have a lot of, and things to knock against him. What...
I think what this teaches, this event, is that, like
Benedict said, "My authority ends at that door of the office.
I don't feel like I have any power over anything in this church because
there are so many wolves in the Vatican that, I mean, my
life is at stake." And then be- then he ended up running away anyway.
So it wasn't any different when JP II was there.
Those guys were there at the permission, at the permission of
whatever the powers that be were. Paul VI and John XXIII, yeah,
might be okay. Leo and Francis, completely different.
With Leo and Francis, when they don't, when they put the wrong thing in the, uh,
in
the Vatican News somewhere, it's 'cause Leo and Francis want it
that way.
But in JP II's time-
Talking about Vatican News.
Yeah.
Talking about Vatican News, 10 seconds, Frank Walker.
Where do people go to stay abreast, like I did this week,
about everything important that's worth knowing, taking place?
What website do they go to?
NN212 with one N. Uh, take a look and you can see the...
And daily update on the right column.
There's a video update about 10, 15 minutes at Gloria.TV and at Rumble.
Uh, that's where you can find it.
Frank Walker, God bless you. See you next week.
