Did Moses Enter the Promised Land? The Transfiguration Explained

Okay, Mom's back on the feed, and this is one of the sweetest things she's ever taught me about the Bible.

Has it ever bothered you that Moses never got to the Promised Land?

Mom says that Moses did get to the Promised Land.

In the Old Testament, why does Moses get to see the Promised Land, and he doesn't get to enter?

Oh, because of disobedience.

And why are you saying that Moses ultimately does get to enter the Promised Land?

Because in the New Testament, when we're with Jesus being transfigured on the mountain,

all of a sudden Moses and Elijah are there with him, and it's in Galilee.

Which is the Promised Land.

So Peter, James, and John are on the Mount of Transfiguration with Jesus and Moses and Elijah,

which means that Jesus brought Moses.

So what's our theological takeaway from Moses not getting to the Promised Land in the Old Testament,

but entering in in the New Testament?

The law by itself can't get you into the Promised Land, but Jesus can.
