Discussion on Russia Investigation and Trump
And that type of investigation and trying to uncover what Russia's doing,
uh,
these are the statutory authorities of the CIA and the FBI.
We were carrying out our responsibilities because we saw that the Russians were
trying to influence the outcome of that election.
And so we did what we needed to do. We also didn't let any of that information
out before the election. You know, if I really wanted to undermine Donald
Trump, we
would've just, you know-
You did a terrible job.
We would've ... Yeah, we would've, we could've leaked that information.
Yeah.
But we held it so tightly because we didn't wanna do anything that could,
in fact,
ultimately interfere in that election.
So a- a- again, you know, it just seems like Donald Trump
is unrelenting as far
as, you know, holding a grudge against me, against Jim Comey, and, and others.
What's the grudge against you about?
What are they, what is the subpoena for?
Well, the subpoena is to give testimony in Florida next month
on this grand
conspiracy that supposedly, you know, covers the last 10 years, that
claims that I and my co-conspirators, including, you know, Barack
Obama and other people, conspired to deprive Donald Trump
of his civil rights. Now I think back over the last 10 years,
he's been
elected president twice. He has increased his personal wealth
many times over. He has done so much, but yet he believes
that the Mar-a-Lago raid and other types of things
were all part of this grand
conspiracy. So my lawyers are handling this.
As you pointed out, Joe diGenova, you know, resigned, uh,
the day after these
subpoenas were issued. Who knows what the story is there?
Um, other prosecutors have either been pushed
aside-
Pushed away
... or have resigned because there's no
evidence there.
They're just trying to concoct this as a way to make a claim that
Donald Trump has been subjected to this type of, you know, conspiracy.
