Analysis of a Top Midfielder's Skills

Honestly, he's got the

full package in terms of decision making,

being an option for his teammates, when to do a one or two touch,

he's a big, strong, powerful boy, helps out with set pieces,

he seems like a really top thrower.

You're talking about some of the greatest players in the world,

he has to be up there, midfielders.

I'm talking about the history of the game. Wow.

Again, he doesn't probably catch you right in a sense,

but obviously when I've played in that position,

I kind of appreciate him more than anybody, because I know these decision makers.

He looks dead simple, nice and effective,

but a lot of players can't do what he does,

and he does it at such a consistent level. And he does it every time.

Of course, he turns up all the time.

You mentioned the big tournaments, and again,

we talk about what he does on the eye, but out of possession.

He's absolutely fantastic, because he's fortunate to play in the team.

teams that dominate possession but again

sometimes to judge the players when he gets time on the ball and every time he does

receive it he seems to make the right decision.

That goes back to football awareness and football intelligence.
