Mythical Story of Sciafa and Kingship

There are a couple references to a baby named Sciafa, who comes out

of the sea in Scandinavia

in a makeshift skiff,

sometimes a large leaf laid over a shield or a large basket of

some kind,

who is later chosen to be king of the Lombards.

Anyone who knows the story of Moses can tell you this is familiar.
