Guitar Mixing Techniques in Music Production

So the rhythm guitar, the rock guitar, one guitar, not doubled, was tracked with a room

mic.

So here's the room mic.

So that's just the mic on the 412 cabinet, and then we have the room mic panned over

to the right side here.

We're going to add this Eventide Stereo Harmonizer, but I'm only using the right channel of it.

I'm only using the right side.

So we've got the dry guitar on the left side.

We've got the Eventide Harmonizer and the room mic on the right side.

We're spreading this guitar out.

That's 22.5 milliseconds on the pitch shift.

This guitar is, on the left side, is sitting here dry.

It should be green, but that's cool.

So we're adding a little bit of delay.

That's when you can hear it, but while the guitar is playing, you can't really hear it.

I'm going to bring some of the treble back on the delay.

So now the guitar has got a little bit of width, a little bit of space, given it the

feeling of being in an auditorium.

Let's put it in the track here.
