Grace Millane Case: CCTV Tracks Jesse Kempson After Their Date

So the CCTV footage shows Grace meeting her date near the Christmas tree.

This is where they introduce themselves, exchange a few words, and then they walk off together.

Then throughout the evening, they're moving between different bars, they're ordering drinks.

They just look like they're enjoying each other's company, and they seem to be getting more affectionate throughout the evening, so they're holding each other closely.

They're even kissing at one point when they're strolling from one place to the next.

We get to 9:40 PM, and this is on the eve of Grace's 22nd birthday, a time where she should be celebrating.

Now, CCTV footage shows her then returning to her date's apartment.

So clearly, the night seems to have been going well.

They just look like another young couple who've connected and are enjoying each other's company.

They've clearly had a fun night out, and they're walking towards the building.

They've got their arms around each other, and they are holding hands.

Now, the police, they examined Grace's social media, and they actually noticed that just after she's come back from the toilet, her date's commented on her Facebook profile and said, "Beautiful. Very radiant."

And this comment allows detectives to match a name to the face seen in the CCTV footage, and they're able to identify the man as 26-year-old Jesse Shane Kempson.

We get to the morning of December the 2nd.

This is Grace's birthday. Building cameras record Jesse entering the elevator at 8:00 AM, but he's alone.

Then he exits the lobby, makes his way down towards the atrium on Elliot, arriving there roughly seven minutes later.

Now, the detectives who reviewed the footage show Jesse browsing and also purchasing a suitcase.

Then he buys cleaning supplies. Now, after making these purchases just around 11:00 AM, he ends up taking a taxi to a car rental agency.

This is where he rents a red Toyota Corolla.

And the investigators are really surprised when just several hours later Jesse is seen going on a Tinder date.

So he's gone out, he's bought all these supplies, he's rented the car, he's bought the suitcase.

He's got all of this stuff and now is going on another date.

So even though he's bought these supplies, and let's be honest, it is completely out of the ordinary to go ahead and do what he's done, he just appears unfazed.

He's just getting on with his day, and he's also carrying on getting more supplies, even renting a Rug Doctor cleaning machine.

Now, he of course claims that that Rug Doctor cleaning machine was actually needed for red wine stains, and they catch him on surveillance bringing that Rug Doctor up to his room.

This is just before 9:00 PM on December the 2nd.

Now, at 9:30 PM, something really sinister happens because Jesse is seen wheeling a trolley loaded with two heavy-looking suitcases into the elevator.

Then he just places them in the trunk of his rental car.

He doesn't even seem to be concerned about this behavior.

In fact, he even jokes with an employee as he returned the empty trolley to the lobby.

Now early the next morning, so this is December the 3rd, Jesse goes on another very questionable, shall we say, shopping trip.

This time he's purchasing a shovel. This is around 7:00 AM in the morning.

Again, he's just engaging in really casual conversation with the cashier, and he's just giving that impression of just running ordinary everyday errands.

Then he drops off some of the bags at dry cleaner.

Then he proceeds to a car wash. And so he's just going about his everyday business.

Now, surveillance footage captures him power washing the car before he eventually returns it to the rental agency.

This is where it's subsequently rented by another customer.

So on December the 5th, which is the same day that Grace is reported as missing, Jesse's actually seen carrying bags, which he's then dumping in various trash bins throughout the entire city, which is really questionable and deeply sinister.

Now, when he gets back to the apartment, when he notices that he's not alone essentially because he can see that there are police around, understandably he starts to become concerned about why they are there.

So he quickly turns around to avoid being seen, and he tries to conceal his face as he just hurries away
