Sweden's Rising CO2 Emissions and Climate Policy
How dare you? Sweden, home of climate mascot Greta Thunberg,
just posted a jump
in CO2 emissions after the government relaxed biofuel rules.
According to Sweden's EPA, transport emissions
are up twenty-four percent with
heavy machinery emissions up thirty-three percent.
This reverses fifteen years of declines and pushes Sweden off its EU climate
targets. This is part of a wider retreat from
climate alarm.
Money is drying up. Policy is reversing. Even Greta has moved on.
Only the most entrenched activists are still banging the drum.
