Balázs Hankó, Orbán's former minister of culture,
was arrested on suspicion of
criminal breach of trust. He maintains that he is innocent and
is willing to face
both the investigation and the courts.
Veronika Varga Bajusz, who served as state secretary,
was also taken away on a
lead restraint in connection with the same case.
Veronika reviewed approximately two thousand pages of investigative documents
and claims she found no evidence supporting the allegations against her.
Meanwhile, Hungary's new president, András Bakker, stated that the purpose of
pre-trial detention is to put pressure on people to make
confessions under
duress. According to the former prosecutor
general, this is not provided for
under the Hungarian Criminal Code.
De van egy másik nyomás is. És én Bak Andrásra
utalok, aki az ő pozíciójában a heti válasznak
adott
működése felett, ami a köztársasági elnök?
Incidentally, the former prosecutor general
is taking his case to the European
Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg because he believes Péter Magyar
unlawfully removed him from office. This is not Africa.
This is not South America. This is Hungary,
right in the heart of the European
Union. And the European Commission has released
funds to the Hungarian government
on the grounds that the rule of law has been restored.
