Hitler's Life and Personal Struggles
Hitler had only one testicle. He was a junkie and addicted to cocaine.
He ate a kilogram of chocolate every day, and Fanta was invented for him.
Adolf Hitler was born in Austria in 1889.
His father beat him brutally with a belt. Young Adolf wanted to be a painter.
He applied to the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts twice.
He was rejected both times. He lived homeless on the streets of Vienna
for five
years, painting postcards to survive and taking food from Jewish charities.
Now let's talk about his body. By the end of his life,
his personal doctor, Theodor
Morell, was injecting him with 28 different
substances every single
day: Cocaine drops in his eyes every morning;
methamphetamine injections
several times a day; bull testicle extract for energy; opiates;
barbiturates. He was a full-blown junkie by the time
World War II started.
He had Parkinson's disease in his final years.
His left hand shook so violently he hid it behind his back in every
photograph. And he had only one testicle. This was rumored for decades.
The British has a wartime song about it, "Hitler Has Only Got One Ball".
In 1931, his niece Geli Raubal shot herself in his
apartment
with his own pistol. She was 23. He was 42. They lived together.
He was obsessed with her. After she died, he became a strict vegetarian.
He said eating meat was like eating a corpse.
From that day on, he ate almost nothing but cake, chocolate,
and pastries.
He had his own personal Viennese baker in Berlin.
He ate up to a kilogram of chocolate every single day.
He sweetened his wine with sugar. He ate strudel for breakfast.
But he was terrified of being poisoned by the British, so he had 15 young
women taste every single meal before he ate it.
Every day between 11:00 AM and noon they were forced to eat his food,
white asparagus, cauliflower, rare fruit while the rest of Germany was
starving. They never knew if it would be their last meal.
One of them, Margot Woelk, kept it secret for 68 years.
In 1940, America placed a trade embargo on Nazi
Germany.
The Coca Cola factory in Germany couldn't get ingredients anymore, so the German
director invented a new drink from whatever scraps he could find: leftover
fruit peels, whey, apple pulp. He called it Fanta, short
for fantasy. By 1943, Nazi Germany was drinking
three million cases of Fanta a year. Now the dog.
Hitler loved his German shepherd Blondie more than any human being in his
life. The day before he killed himself, he tested his cyanide pill on the
dog to make sure it worked. Blondie died.
Witnesses said Hitler cried openly, more than he had for anyone he'd ever
lost. The next day he shot himself. He was 56.
He had been married to Eva Braun for exactly 40 hours.
