Insights on Immigration and Job Competition
that they're moving within 10 days.
They report it to the mail,
but not to Immigration, and then that's an automatic arrest.
So the basically, they are not following the court orders, right?
Yes. Yes, and a lot of them don't realize it.
Yeah.
They don't know that they have to.
So they're not doing it intentionally-
Right, exactly
... is what you mean.
Some of them are, 'cause some of them come over as a B1
or a B2
for pleasure or for investment.
Uh-huh.
They'll initially give their address,
and then they'll run and change their address with no
intention of ever seeing an immigration judge, and then they become overstays,
and then now they're illegal, running from ICE and hiding in the United
States.
So how you guys are narrowing down? Like, how are you guys hunting them?
Uh, databases. A lot... You would be surprised
how many people are calling the ICE hotline.
Oh, really?
Oh, my gosh. They're like, "Hey, I know this person, XYZ.
He lives here." They're just reporting people left and right, because they
came in and did it the right way-
Okay
... and paid all this money to get their
citizenship.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
And now these other guys come in, and then they take, you know,
sixty cents a mile-
Yeah, even less than that
... instead of a dollar an hour, and they're stealing jobs away from these
guys-
Mm-hmm
... that came in and did it the right way.
So I understand, and people have families, and they have kids.
Hey, guys, we're gonna pick up those trucks.
So it sucks. But at the end of the day, man, I pray for
everybody, and I-
You know, this ICE officer is giving us really,
really valuable insight because
he's saying that the vast, huge majority of the tips that they get on
illegals come from other immigrants who immigrated here
legally and did it the right way. They spent the money.
But one thing I think that's interesting is that the foreigners who did it the
right way understand that people that are illegally
here are actually taking their jobs and taking jobs for
cheaper. You know, he said sixty cents on the mile
is what they're willing to take,
and that's for truckers. So he's saying that foreigners who come
here illegally are
willing to work for cheaper labor rates.
So if foreigners who entered here legally can figure that out,
then why can't liberals and Democrats figure that out?
You know, it just makes no sense. Those people just think
that these illegals are
an asset, but really they're not. They're taking housing,
they're taking jobs,
they're taking jobs cheaper, they're driving wages down for everyone
else, and
let's just see what the comments have to say about this.
"Chillest ICE I've ever seen. I like this guy.
He's the definition of a human being." "So people be snitching." That's
true. "It's a slap in the face to watch people
take advantage of the
system when some of us struggled, saved money, waited patiently,
did loads of paperwork, et cetera." And you know, the people that are
illegal, they just came in here and cut the line.
"So they're telling on their own people. Got it.
I respect this guy for taking the time explaining, knowing he's being recorded."
I mean, so everyone appreciates this ICE officer.
He's being cool, you know, he's being very calm.
He's articulately explaining what's going on.
But the really good thing is that foreigners are the one who are
calling in the tips. That is good information to know
