Discussion on Prophets and Revelations
Why are you not a Muslim?
Because Muhammad is not in the Bible.
If you want a prophecy, we could go through some. I don't mind.
No, tell me, please. I wanna know.
Sure. We'll just go to Deuteronomy 33.
It says, "He said the Lord came from Sinai,
dawned over them
from Seir. He shone forth from Mount Paran.
He came with myriads of holy ones from the south from His mountain slopes."
Let me just ask you, when did the Lord, quote, unquote, "come from
Sinai"?
I think it's Moses.
Moses, right. And he said Yahweh from Sinai came,
so it's obviously
not-- Yahweh literally came from Sinai.
Um, he's referring to the first revelation.
Mm-hmm.
And then it says, "And dawned from Seir." Do you know where
Seir is?
No.
So Seir is a mountain or a area where there is a
mountain in what we would consider to be modern-day Palestine,
and there's a significant prophet again who receives
revelation in that area near Jerusalem, Bethlehem.
Which prophet may that be?
Only thing I think of is Jesus.
Yep, exactly. So it says, "He came from Sinai," we know that's
Moses, "dawned from Seir on them," so that's
Jesus, and then it
says, "He shone forth from Mount Paran." Now,
where is Paran
according to the Bible?
Is that, uh, Saudi Arabia?
Arabia, yes. Good. So when did God give revelation in
Arabia?
Never?
So then is it a false statement?
I'm not sure.
Either He did bring revelation from Paran or it's a false statement-
Mm-hmm
... and the Bible's false.
No, Bible is not false. It's just-
So then when did He bring revelation from Arabia? After Jesus.
Muhammad is from Arabia. I can connect that.
Right. Yeah, Muhammad, peace be upon him, is from Arabia, and does he claim-
Mm-hmm
... to receive a message from God?
He does.
From the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus?
He does.
Good. So then if it's not Muhammad, peace be upon him, who is it?
That's actually a good question. I gotta look around.
Mm-hmm. And to further drive home the point,
so the one from Paran,
he came with 10,000 of holy ones. When the
Prophet, peace be upon him, came to open Mecca from the Arab
pagans-
10,000 people
... he came exactly with 10,000 people, and it says-
Mm-hmm
... from his right hand came a fiery law for
them.
What is that?
The Quran.
I know, I get it, but what that means, I'm asking.
That means that the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is in the Bible.
There's multiple prophets in history that are not, like, they're not recorded.
This is referring to significant individuals. The first one is Moses.
That's very significant.
Mm-hmm.
The second one is Jesus, who is also very significant.
Mm-hmm.
And the third one, who comes after Jesus, also has to be significant.
Interesting.
