Natalia Filgaras Among Nine Killed in Florida Learjet Crash

Natalia Filgaras is one of the nine victims in the horrific Florida jet crash.

She was a young woman who was so passionate about flying that she got her pilot's license in high school. She actually learned to fly before she could even drive a car. Back in March 2026, she proudly posted a photo of herself flying a Learjet 60.

That was the exact same model that crashed this weekend. It was the last time she ever flew it.

The plane was heading from Austin to the Bahamas.

Mid-flight, the crew reported severe icing and turbulence.

They desperately requested to climb to a higher altitude, but conditions deteriorated incredibly fast. Air traffic control audio captured a terrifying and desperate mayday call right before the plane went into a steep dive and crashed near Cresthaven.

All nine people on board were killed. The FAA and NTSB are now investigating what went so terribly wrong. It is absolutely heartbreaking.

A young woman who worked so hard to make her flying dreams come true lost her life doing what she loved.
