Plot to Attack US Capitol Foiled

Albany resident who converted to Islam.

She's, they say she started her plot last month

and was taking steps to

carry out the major attack. During the investigation, she

communicated with others on social media, including celebrating

9/11. And between last July 21st and

August 9th, they say she was seen walking around the building at

least five

times and taking pictures and going inside.

Here are court papers that say she wrote

and met with confidential sources saying,

quote, "I want to destroy as much of the building

as

possible and kill the senators while they are meeting.

I want it to have an effect on the American system.

Try to get a good enough explosive," she said to one person, "to get

in there, to kill the senators. This is the capital.

This is destroying, like, huge enemies of God.

These are some of the biggest American politicians." On August 5th,

prosecutors say that she bought items to build a bomb at Home

Depot. That she bought, among the things, nails, and she planned to

put the bomb in a DoorDash bag so it would explode in the

capital. She was arrested yesterday, and officials say she told

them she's going to prison for the rest of her life.

The complaint also says that Bowie wanted to plan more attacks

if she got away with

this one, citing, uh, New Year's Eve in Manhattan Times Square.

And when a confidential source asked her why she picked New York State's capital

building, she said, uh, ideally she would have liked to pick the

White

House with the president, but she said, quote, "That's an even
