The Reality of Crypto Trading: Three Years Without a Break
You know, it's near the end of this year, right? 2023.
I'm realizing I've traded nearly th- well, over three years
worth of price action. That's over a thousand days
worth of price action back to back, back to back.
Like, I've never took those
five-month breaks like how all these other crypto traders have and come back once,
you know, Bitcoin's pumping up a little bit.
Through the bear market, through the losses, through the wins,
through the good
times, through fucking my old
account, CO100X, doing--
just
punching the fuck out of KuCoin, just all them low-cap gems.
You know, futures from when, when, when never really was a thing,
and especially
in our little community we have.
Like, people forget about all that, but it's been, it's a thousand days,
if not more.
It's hard. I'm gonna try this year, man.
This, this is getting very time-consuming, just sitting there, just trading,
trading, trading. Like, even right now,
I'm on holiday. I was thinking to myself before I even
boarded the flight, "You
know what?
Once I come out of this long, I'm just gonna just chill."
But I can't even do that
now because there's more money to make.
You know, if you
show a little bit to the downside, have a little scalp and the scalp pop,
it went
from around thirty-six point five back up to like, I don't know, thirty-eight.
You know, that's some good money you can make there.
But I just wanna chill, but I can't.
I have to look at price action, make, uh, make sure I get the right entry, make
sure I have limits and I'm awake for whenever, you know,
we have
a sweep of my entry. So,
it's long. It's long. So, whenever people see my success
and people say like, "Oh,
this guy makes good money, and he's a good trader," like,
there's a lot behind it.
Sleepless nights. It's 3 AM over here in Kuwait.
Can't sleep.
Just waiting for
something to happen in the market. It's a bit volatile right now.
I just have to wait for it to either just simmer down or just see what happens.
That's the, that's the reality of trading, mate.
