Referee Decision on Disallowed Goal

Williams scored in this situation, but referee disallowed a goal for a foul on Otamendi

So Marino made a challenge with Otamendi and the ball went to Williams and he scored

The referee delayed a whistle here and allowed a goal to happen and then called a foul and he did this because since the whistle

Was blown after the ball was out of play

VR could intervene to allow the goal instead of the foul

However, when you look at the situation Marino actually stepped on the foot of Otamendi and that's why there was a foul

So this was a foul by a clear step on the foot and it was a careless offense

But just in case the referee decided to delay the whistle and allow the attack to finish
