Job Loss After Doxxing Incident
I got doxxed and subsequently lost my job for posting Merry
Kirkmas on the Kirkiversary to a trending little sound.
Getting fired over Charlie Kirk. It's still 2025.
It's been an interesting few days, and I'm not daft.
I know the possible consequences of posting things like this online.
I know it's not socially acceptable. I know how the world works.
It just doesn't work for me. I always knew that being doxxed
was an option.
I just always kind of thought it was gonna come from Zionists or something,
but
this actually makes more sense because instead, it came from an army of Kirkstans
and bots flooding my workplace with messages and threats in addition
to the threats to me. The account that posted my information is rife with
anti-Indian racism and white supremacist content,
to no one's surprise,
and spends their time doxxing people and farming bots to engage.
When they posted my information, they also mentioned that my dad
is Mexican,
because I've talked about this,
and they said that his legal status is unknown.
He's a citizen, thank God. They also
called for me to be denaturalized, naturally.
I was born here. I can reckon with losing a job.
I've made peace with that. Um,
the scariest part of this weekend was any potential
connections to my family
or connections to me safety-wise.
But beyond all of the death and rape threats, I do actually understand
that this is an option, being-- existing online
publicly, especially as a woman. Most of the people I've seen lose their
jobs
over Charlie Kirk have been women.
And while I feel terrible about the way that this unfolded with members of my
former team and them having to pick up the pieces and run PR for the company,
I do not regret saying Merry Kirkmas.
I did not incite further violence.
I did not say something much more distasteful because that's just not me.
But it is me to indulge in a punny trend making light of the fact
that a racist, disgusting person is no longer here plaguing us with
his violent rhetoric. And if he died from any other cause,
I would've been saying
the same thing on the anniversary.
And I know that if I was still employed by that company
and then Trump died, I
would not be able to hold back, and I'd probably be back in the same
situation, but
much worse. Now, I could rehash things
that Charlie Kirk said or explain why his
words were violent even though people will still try to cast him as an innocent
father who was just asking questions, but I don't really feel the need to do
that.
So with my expanded free time, I will be leaning into the more
time-consuming and
thoughtful content that I've always wanted to make.
I will keep fundraising for Palestinian families.
I will keep giving all of my TikTok creator rewards earnings to my friends in
Gaza, even though that's not much at this point.
And in the meantime, if anyone has any interest in working with
me or has any
connects, reach out. What you see here is just my personal content, but I have an
entire professional communication skill set.
I can create communication strategies, run social media and advertising,
video edit, copyright, et cetera.
I was with that company for seven years, and even though that's not the way I
would've wanted it to end, I was beyond ready for something new.
I've been wanting a new job to grow in for a long time, and now I'm just being
pushed instead. So while I dust off the ol' resume, uh,
if you wanna buy me a
coffee, I've linked my Venmo in my Linktree.
Um, otherwise, if you're in need of respirator masks,
I've got codes there.
Same thing goes for air purifiers.
If you need an air purifier, wildfire smoke, pathogens, whatever it is,
you can
use my code. Um, and I get a tiny bit of commission.
So if there is any scarlet letter to have, I think
doxxed for talking about Charlie Kirk puts me among some really great
company.
Stay safe.
