Impact of War on Education and Society
My name is Fouad Al-Subaiery. I have been teaching for twenty-eight
years.
Mm, the,
the time has been changed for us because we, uh, the, uh,
war started because we had in the past many different
things has captured our mind and our, uh, areas.
How these militias started killing the people, kidnapping the, uh,
men and women and starting destroying everything on the earth.
So the education has stopped. Everything in the life has
been stopped. We didn't have any choice to start
or to do
except start fighting and striving.
There are many people here and there, they stopped working and doing...
Many people lost here their, lost their, uh, projects, their
business, their works, uh, everything in their life.
So we start our life with fighting and striving.
We can't leave our country with this militia, militia because,
you know,
we don't have anything except freedom.
We don't like to be slave. Houthi
is a dangerous virus that kill the people,
kill everything in this world. So you can find me as a
teacher, and you can find engineers, doctors,
many different people on the war sites, the war
places. They work all the days, all the night.
We can't stop working and fighting to get our
country free, and we can live
with freedom, and we can't live with slavery.
