Kash Patel on FBI Operation Blackout and International Scam Centers
Earlier today, the FBI director, Kash Patel, joined President Trump for a
roundtable on the administration's crackdown on cybercrime.
They touted the massively successful Operation Blackout.
Take a look at the numbers. They speak for themselves.
So far the bureau has seized nearly $17 billion,
arrested hundreds of these alleged scammers, freed thousands
of trafficked workers, prevented nearly $700 million
in more losses, and this week alone they have made 28
arrests, taken down nearly four million social
media accounts
tied to fraudulent activity, all thanks to a partnership with
Meta. They seized, seized over 350 devices,
identified over 100 scam victims.
The FBI director joins us more. I'm lo- I'm, I'm looking at these statistic.
I'm looking at the numbers. We just put it up there. $17 billion.
That's, that's being stolen directly from the
American people.
Uh, tell us more about it.
Great to be with you, Sean. And look, President Trump signed an executive order.
Finally, we have a president who backs law
enforcement, and finally he priorit- and
finally we have a president who prioritized these scam centers.
And look, for Americans that don't know, these scam centers are in Southeast Asia,
they're in Africa, they're in the Middle East.
They're literally towns where people, thousands of people, are forced
into labor to fleece American citizens of their hard-earned money,
and they're doing it through the phones, through the emails, and the internets.
And what President Trump's EO does, allows law enforcement to go on an
all-out assault and make sure that there is no sanctuary for anyone who
commits these types of nefarious criminal activities.
And thanks to President Trump's relationships with foreign governments
and the
private sector, companies like Meta, Google, IBM, Microsoft, and
X have come to the table with this FBI under Operation Blackout and
annihilated these scam centers. Sean, we literally go in there in these
cross-border regions and we di- disrupt them, dismantle them, and then we
demolish them, and that's how we go after these people,
and that's our message
from this FBI. But on the flip side on Operation
Blackout, we're also getting ahead
of it. Thanks to President Trump's initiative,
we're going out there and stopping
nearly 11,000 Americans from being fleeced of $670 million.
That's money before it even left their bank account, because we're taking an
offensive and defensive approach, and it's du-
it's due to the team effort under
the Trump administration
