Critique of Government Surveillance and Control

All right, howdy ho Winslows,

local pain in the ass back again.

Now most of us out here, when we read 1984,

we read it and come away with the notion that it's a warning.

For some reason

when y all politicians read it, you take it as a do it yourself manual.

So in honor of the Orwellians present,

this one's for you. Sitting at home and you get a ticket in the mail

for a crime you didn't commit because the local overlords put AI on the light pole.

Govern me harder, daddy.

You work hard, get married, and buy a house,

then your mortgage becomes unaffordable because the mayor wants to raise your

property taxes to pay for his developer donors' infrastructure costs.

Govern me harder, daddy.

The police in

your town decide to become reliant on clear

view AI facial recognition when lands you in jail for four states over for months

at a time because their computer misidentified you.

Govern me harder, daddy.

Government becomes a bunch of peep and toms,

using flock cameras to drag net massive amounts of

location data from its citizens without their consent.

Govern me harder, daddy.

Your city decides

to put AI cameras on garbage trucks to scan your yard for code violations.

Govern me harder, daddy.

When a gaggle of feral teens with zero parental care in their lives

riots in our town, and instead of arresting them,

we let them walk, we talk about curfews that affect the law abiding.

Govern me harder, daddy.

When the residential lord

of the thief wants to build a 200 million Metroplex entertainment

center using your hard earned tax money and then charge you to enter it.

Govern me harder, daddy.

The local constituency comes together in political unity to tell a bunch of

bureaucratic hobgoblins that we don't want data centers in our town and

these goblins come back with weak ass half measures that do nothing.

Govern me harder, daddy.

When your politicians run on physical responsibility,

conservatism, and small government and

then turn around and do the opposite like what's happening all over Florida.

Govern me harder, daddy.

When your elected officials forget that they are public servants and not lords of a

thief by ignoring the people and treating us like tax cattle.

Govern me harder, daddy.

When your government taxes the living shit out of you to usher in wave after wave

of transplants to replace you while simultaneously erecting

a massive surveillance network to watch you when you resist their tyranny,

you're getting governed pretty hard by big daddy government. Thank you.
