Gaza’s Resilience and Faith in God

By God, brothers, if you brought the world's greatest atheist, a denier of the existence of Almighty God, and said, “Come, I'll take you on a tour of Gaza's streets,” he would leave them convinced that there is no god but God,

and Muhammad is God's Messenger, because he would believe that no people could live in this place through all this grief and exhaustion, and pain, all this crime and injustice, and be patient, seeking God's reward, and still be here three years later,

unless some hidden power was supporting them, giving them patience and resolve.

Dear and honored brothers, anyone has thought ill of Almighty God who thinks that blood was shed and lives were taken, mosques destroyed, homes ruined, and wealth scattered, and that all this pain we feel will go to waste in the sight of God,

blessed and exalted. Anyone has thought ill of Almighty God who thinks that God will not— will not avenge them, that God will not take revenge, that God will not compensate the people of Gaza in this life before the Hereafter.

By God, Gaza will turn the world upside down.

By God, a mighty, avenging Lord will avenge Gaza.

By God, the people of Gaza will be richly compensated, sooner rather than later.

Think well of Almighty God.
