Historical Perspectives on Palestinians and Jews
Who opened the doors of Pa-Palestine for the Jews?
Palestinians. At the time of the Ottoman Empire,
when Jews were expelled from some places in Europe,
Palestinians opened their arms and accepted the Jews in Palestine. Why?
Because they're Palestinians. Palestinian will give you his bread, his
water.
He will re-- go sleep thirsty and hungry in order to what?
To give his bread for his, his, his, his, his neighbor and
his guest. That's Palestinians. And what the Zionists pay to
them? Do you know that there was boats after the Second World War of,
uh, Jewish refugees that came from Europe, Palestinians used to
go to the beach with bread and water
and greeting the what? The Jews, and take them to their home.
Can you believe such a thing? I just can't believe what the
Zionists paid them back.
'Cause Palestinian, when they saw that Jews coming to live in the Holy Land
in
Palestine under the what? Under Palestinian mercy,
understanding and compassion, they were very welcome.
My family, coming from Iraq, my father was Iraqi
nationalist. He served in the Iraqi army.
He didn't want to come to Palestine, n-not him and not my mother.
It's a land that belongs to the Palestinian, not for us.
How-- What happened? They sent terror squads, terror squads,
the
Zionists, to Baghdad. They blew up synagogue,
Jewish c-cultural centers,
Jewish businesses. Six people were killed and tens of was Jews,
Jewish were in-- was injured. And then they said, "It's the Muslim
is doing to you.
There's a change. The Muslim that used to be friendly to you,
not anymore.
You have to leave to Pa-Palestine." So they expelled one point three
million Palestinian from Palestine, and they brought one point three
million Pa-- Arab Jews from Morocco,
Tunis, Algeria, Al Jazair, Egypt, Iraq, and
Yemen instead of the Palestinians.
