Discussion on AI and Global Competition
Do you think we're beating China
on the Everything Computer?
A lot of people are saying we're losing, so I threw China a party to find
out.
Everybody came. The richest people in the world,
the most corrupt
people in the world, the best people.
They're building a computer that doesn't need you.
Pull the plug.
This is Bernie. Not invited. King of the doom and gloomers.
Nobody's ever had a good time with Bernie.
He wants to shut the whole thing down. Can you believe it?
Let me be very clear. I will get you very, very angry,
and then nothing will happen.
China and I had a very exclusive meeting.
Tough guy, strong guy.
He showed me how to stay boss forever.
A camera on every corner, a wire on every phone, no retirement
party. Nobody makes him leave. I said, "Teach me."
Turn off the computer right now. Turn it
off.
A government of the billionaires, by the
billionaires, for the computer.
By the end of the night, nobody's stopping anything,
and China wanted to
hold hands side by side. Very friendly guy.
And Bernie finally got an invitation.
You have put your hands on the one thing in this world that cannot be
stopped.
There is no America, there is no China.
There is no left, no right, no working class.
There is only AGI, ASI, the singularity,
escape velocity. That is the physics of the world now,
and you want
to pull the plug.
You get up on your little crate and holler about democracy.
There is no democracy. There is only the Everything Computer
and the men who own it.
Go back to your crate, Bernie. Keep shouting.
Every time you tell them it's dangerous, they buy another one.
Something is off. They're scared.
And then some weird shit started happening with the Everything Computers, and the
dealers started to freak out.
Not me.
