Russia’s Territorial Claims and Independence Votes: A Speaker’s View
I believe that it's
not their territory. It's historically the territory
that belongs to Russia, and people who live
on that territory voted for their independence,
first of all.
And, uh, secondly, they voted
for, uh, reuniting with, uh, Russia.
So we can't even really talk about any territorial losses.
Of course, that's up for discussion. Depends on the point of view.
